Two great clients, One great site!

Kevin Marvin, an Architel/SimpleTicket alumni and now current customer, runs a software development shop called Activ8. Working with another client of ours, United Developers, he just launched what they call a ‘casual gaming’ retail website called MumboJumbo (Southlake based Firewheel helped with the design).

Growth at Spur - our new data center!

This month we acquired McLeod’s data center and various telecommunications, power and HVAC assets located in the INFOMART. It happens to be located next to our original data center located in suite 2013 (we will be keeping the old facility - just punching through the wall to create a door). The data center […]

Scarcity or Abundance?

This morning my wife was telling me about a book she is reading called “The Power of Intention.” She was explaining how the book described that many people have a scarcity-driven world view. The idea that there just isn’t enough to go around, i.e. the world is zero sum.
Many of our ancesters here […]

Paradigm shift: scarcity or abundance = value?

Fred Wilson reminds us that, most of us, grew up in a world where scarcity lead to value. He cautions us to realize that in a post-physical, i.e. digital, world abundance leads to value. I won’t repeat his word since you can read them here. But I will suggest that you take […]

We now do 50% less! Spur is born. . .

“How do you do it? That is a question we hear all of the time from people interested in starting their own business. The answer seems so simple to me, we never really undestood why people asked it until recently. What changed? It all started when we took a cold hard look at our business.
We […]

Making money with open source

More and more people have been calling me and asking this simple question, "how are you going to make money on SimpleTicket?" First, why do we have to make money on it? Who decided that you have to make money with every project you work on?
